WIRED formed a collaborative partnership with Lexus and notable photographer Daniel Thomas Smith to tell the story of the technologies in the Lexus LS in an immersive experience exploring how the Lexus LS Sees the World.
Digital: Through twenty custom images using different cameras and technologies such as 3D, stereoscopic, thermal imaging, and infrared filters photographer Daniel Thomas Smith explored how the Lexus LS Sees the World. The images lived on a dedicated WIRED.com landing page and the Lexus Tumblr page. A “behind the scenes” video further told the story. The project was promoted through in-stream units on WIRED.com as well as an X-rail promo unit on the homepage and custom 300×250 units driving to the landing page.
Social: A custom social media campaign on WIRED Insider’s Facebook and Twitter feeds generated buzz for the program and drove users to the custom landing page.
